ELON MUSK:
Elon Reeve Musk is the richest man in the world. How? He's a genius. Many do not know this, but he spent his childhood in Africa, under very tough circumstances. His parents split when young Elon was only 10. He regrettably decided to live with his father, who was abusive. Elon decided to "drown his sorrows" by using every spare minute of his time either (1) reading books or (2) concocting some new way to make money. He read many books, and when he was still young, he had read all the books in the nearest library. He begged the library to purchase new books, and sure enough, he got his way.
He frequently started mini-businesses, such as coding and selling videogames, or even selling candy door to door. Even at 12, you could tell he was destined for greatness. He enrolled in a local college in Africa, before moving to where his mother had been born, Canada. He was accepted at Queens University at the age of 17. Elon decided at a young age that his education didn't cut it, and he decided to read 2 books a day to compensate. When he was accepted to Queen, he knew all his reading had payed off. He then moved to California to apply at his 3rd college in 2 years, this time at Stanford. Many question what he was thinking applying at such a great college, given he quit only 2 days later. He decided to pursue a career in business, and co-founded Zip2, a web software company. He sold Zip2 soon after, with a huge price-tag. Zip2 sold for a mind-blowing 137 million. Elon was already a millionaire! He didn't stop there, as his next business would sell for even more. He co-founded X.com, (now PayPal), and sold it to eBay for a whopping $1.5 BILLION. He then had his mid-life crisis. He wanted to save humanity from global warming. To do that, he thought, humans would need to live on Mars. How would they get to Mars? Rockets. Elon Musk started SpaceX in 2002, aiming to achieve his goal of civilization in space by 2025. He then invested $70 million in a measly little start-up named Tesla that wanted cars to run on electricity. In 2012, both SpaceX and Tesla exploded. On May 22, Musk's SpaceX sent a unmanned Falcon 9 rocket capsule to space. The world was captivated. Even NASA payed attention to Elon's endeavors. Late into 2012, Tesla Motor Company announced the world's first mass-market electric car: the Model S. To this day, the Model S remains one of the greatest cars of all time. Motor Trend magazine named it its first unanimous winner of their annual Car Of The Year competition. Once again, the world was captivated. The next 5 years were incredible for Elon Musk. Tesla added 4 more cars to the now multi-billion dollar company, and stocks went from pennies to $850. SpaceX launched 2 more rockets, and now have a rocket that can accommodate 100 people, ideal for Musk's near-future colonization of Mars. In 2018, Tesla had dropped 2 exciting vehicles: The utterly beautiful Roadster, and the utterly ugly Cybertuck. Elon continues to do crazy stuff, such as naming his 7th child "X EA A-12" but he constantly entertains us all, and for that, I will raise a toast: To Mars!
