Porsche 911 Review: The Ultimate GT

 PORSCHE 911:

The Porsche 911 is one of those cars that just exemplify greatness. It is so good at everything it does, you would be forgiven for thinking it is perfect. Though it is not, it is truly a jack-of-all-trades, master of all. First off, it is an attractive-looking car, with seamless lines and a unmistakable silhouette dating back almost 60 years. Secondly, it has a very luxurious and appealing interior, with all the right materials. Thirdly, it is FAST! Sprinting to 60 in only 2.4 seconds, it is one of the most rapid cars out there. The nice thing about the 911, however, is the large lineup. There truly is a Porsche 911 for everyone.

RAVES & REVIEWS:
"The Porsche 911 has preserved the elements that make it an icon." - Erik Stafford

"10/10" - C&D magazine

3 Super-Weird Cars That Flopped

 AMPHICAR:

The Amphicar, as you can probably guess from the name, is a Boat-car. As a matter-of-fact, it is the only amphibious car ever put into production. One particular owner who had the "fortune" of riding in one said: "When on the road, it always felt like it was going to tip over, and when on the lake, it didn't inspire much confidence either. Nonetheless, it was pretty much the coolest thing ever". Besides, as Jay Leno put it: "All right, this is stupid fun".

ELIO MOTORS 1

This one is interesting. To borrow Elio's slogan on their website: "Elio is more than a car. Our goal is to revolutionize American transportation. We're creating the ultimate commuter vehicle for virtually every budget. One that gets up to 84 mpg, has a targeted base price of just $7450, and will create in excess of 1500 American jobs". The only catch, however, is that they've been saying this 11 years, and they still have nothing to offer, citing "76 weeks from now" as the ever-postponing release date. As you can imagine, they are struggling for cash, or "capital" as they prefer to call it.

APTERA 2E
The story of the futuristic Aptera is nearly identical to the Elio's. A brand that promises to revolutionize mankind, only they can't raise the funds to make it happen. You might have heard of Aptera recently, and probably assumed it was a new startup. However, this is far from the case, as Aptera has been around for nearly 20 years. I'm noticing something: 3-wheeled cars are usually a scam! You should probably stay clear of this one, as enticing it seems.

McLaren F1: Reviewing The Greatest Car Of All Time

The McLaren F1 is something special, a once-in-a-lifetime type of car. This was literally the 2nd car McLaren ever made, so they had little to nothing in the way of experience. However, Bruce McLaren, founder and ex-CEO of McLaren, had connections in high places. A few phone calls later, he had obtained several hundred BMW engines, and he was ready to rock. He pursuaded the legendary designers Gordon Murray and Peter Stevens work on the McLaren, with the objective of making a beautiful, yet lightweight car. The McLaren F1 ended up as one of the lightest cars in history, due to the extreme obsession of                                                                                                                         Murray and Stevens to keep the F1 light                                                                                                                                      enough to achieve one goal:
Fastest car in the world. They even ditched a CD player, concerned it would weigh the car down. Fast forward several months, and the mighty F1 was finished. All their diligence on keeping the McLaren light had paid off. It hit an unprecedented 243 MPH, lightyears ahead of the measly Ferraris chilling around the early 200s. Never before had a production car been capable of such astounding numbers. The F1 held the record of fastest car in the world for OVER 15 YEARS. Unbelievable. Recognized comedian and talk-show host Jay Leno, who once said the McLaren is his most prized of dozens of his cars, famously said: "When the car came out, there were so many other supercars coming out, Vector (W8), (Jaguar) XJ220, Bugatti EB110. The Jaguar was the most expensive. 600K dollar range, and all of a sudden, you had this car that was close to a million dollars. How much better could the million dollar one be? Is it really 3 or 4 times better than a Lamborghini or Ferrari? And of course it was, but no one knew it at the time". Leno summed it up nicely: "Talk about getting something right the first time!"

4 Supercars You Can Buy While Only Slightly Breaking The Bank

 CHEVROLET CORVETTE:

The Corvette is a remarkable feat by Chevrolet: It created a $60K supercar that can hang with Ferraris. Its most notable achievement is winning Motor Trend's annual Car Of The Year award in 2020. It is so good, it is sold out so fast, a lottery winner couldn't even get his hands on one. Chevy are speeding up production, in case you were wondering.

Price: $59K

MTT Rating: 9.2/10

MCLAREN 570S:

Arguably one of the most beautiful cars of our generation, the McLaren 570S packs style, and one of the finest rides ever. The handling of this 570S is second to none, as it took home home Motor Trend's 2017 Best Drivers Car, besting Ferraris and Porsches, among others. Just think: You don't exactly need that second kidney, do you?

Price: 148K, not exactly cheap, but worth it.

MTT Rating: 9.7/10

LOTUS EVORA:

If you're like most people, a true supercar that sells for $60K will highly intrigue you. After all, a Toyota SUV can easily hit that high with only a few options. The question is: Is it a scam? No. The Lotus Evora is worldly renowned for it's playfulness, enjoyability, and ultimately, speed. Car&Driver magazine gave it a resounding 8/10 rating, saying "It's a special machine for the hardcore".

Price: $68-130K

MTT Rating: 8.2/10

JAGUAR F-TYPE

Jaguar should submit the F-Type to some art museums. They just have such a knack for penning beautiful cars, only 2 or 3 other brands can rival Jaguars stunning designs. The F-Type is more than just a looker, as it is quite an outstanding car to drive. It comes with a gutty V-6 engine that churns out a respectable 380 hp. Car&Driver magazine pointed out the obvious: "Few are more desirable"

Price: $61K

MTT Rating: 10/10

Ferrari F8 Tributo Review: The Anti-Ferrari

Three things have defined Ferraris for decades: Speed, Passion, and Beauty. The Ferrari F8 Tributo scores well in only the third of those qualities. It is undoubtedly a beautiful, striking design, but this Ferrari has little else to offer, unfortunately. The F8 is the natural successor to the impressive 2017 488 Pista, which sprints to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, before going all out to hit 208 mph. 4 Years later, you would think that Ferrari would have no trouble besting the Pista's specs. Apparently not, as the 488 actually posts better numbers across the board. A major factor in the F8's incompetence performance-wise is the brakes. One columnist at Motor Trend magazine even said the brakes felt "Wooden", while even going as far as to saying "This cars got issues, and you're gonna pay", referencing the unreliable brakes that proceeded to send world-class, multi-championship driver Randy Pobst off the track. Pobst, usually very reserved, angrily declared he would never drive the F8 again, after his near-accident had his life flash before his eyes.

OK, the Ferrari is beautiful, dangerous, and not-as-fast-as-it-should've-been. What about passion? Does it stir up a longing to get behind the wheel? Many say no. Reports say that customers buy the F8 for the clout, not for the enjoyability of driving it. Enzo Ferrari, the late, great Ferrari founder, is turning in his grave. The Ferrari F8 Tributo is just a big ol' let-down. Is there anything to panic about? Probably not, the other Ferraris are highly-acclaimed. Is Ferrari losing ground on McLarens, Porsches, Corvettes, etc..? Yes, they most definitely are.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: What We've All Been Waiting For

Chevrolet have long teased us with a mid-engined Corvette. Though the Corvette we all know and love is a great sports car, Chevy decided switching the location of the Corvette's engine would greatly improve it's balance, handling, and ultimately, it's speed around a track. They also thought they could enjoy starting afresh with the design. They were on to something. The new Stingray (Code-named C8) is one of the purest sports cars you can buy right now. It's acceleration and top speed both jumped up 5 notches, and the new design looks absolutely gorgeous. You could see how the previous Corvette's design was getting over-aggressive, but they made the new one a thing of beauty, with a seamless silhouette communicating one thing: Speed. Motor Trend magazine praised Chevy for: "Creating a masterpiece on their first attempt" and saying: "Hallelujah! A real, honest to God, mid-engine supercar for the price of a Corvette! Good job, Chevrolet." Fittingly, they awarded the 'Vette their coveted Car Of The Year award.

The Stingray breaks multiple performance records, sprinting to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. Its top speed is also impressive, hitting 195 mph. If their was one knock on the previous Corvette, it was the cheap-feeling interior. This Vette has no such problem, the interior has high quality materials, and with more than a little swagger. I've written 2 paragraphs so far, and the Corvette seems like a genuine $1/4 mil. supercar. I have some news for you: the Stingray starts at ONLY $59K. No, this is not a typo, this is cheaper than a loaded Ford Explorer. I've said about many cars, (Nissan Kicks, KIA Soul, Mazda Miata etc..) but this is                                                                                                             truly the bargain of the year. Decade. CENTURY!

5 Of The Glitziest Celebrity Car Collections!

 JAY LENO:

Jay Leno, America's favorite comedian and entertainer, has a huge collection, with stunning variety. He has classic Mustangs and Ferraris, and many priceless Porsches. He once said: "If the garage was on fire, I would snatch the (Mclaren) F1 and run!"

CRISTIANO RONALDO:

Arguably the greatest to ever play the game of soccer, Cristiano has the personality and flair to go with his legendry skills. His car collection isn't shabby either, with several Bugattis, McLarens, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, Rolls-Royces, Audis, Maseratis, and Mercedes-Benzes. He was also made a custom Audi sports car in 2012. He is pictured with a 2019 Bugatti Chiron, which costs a whopping $3 Million.

STEPH CURRY:

Steph Curry, the best shooter in the history of basketball, is not as front-and-center as some of the other celebrities on this list, but he still knows how to treat himself. He advertises for Infinity, and has multiple Porsches and a Land Rover in his garage. He has won 3 NBA titles and 2 MVP awards, and his legacy will be great, even better than his cars!

KANYE WEST:

One might question Kanye's state of mind, but his car collection is unquestionably the BOMB. He seems to have a thing for Lamborghinis, as he been spotted in 6 different ones. His favorite car is said to be the Lamborghini Urus pictured on the left. He also bought a Tesla Model S P100D to support his friend Elon Musk. Given he went $52 million in debt in 2016, it is truly impressive that he is so successful today, a billionaire only 4 years later!

FLOYD MAYWEATHER:
Widely accepted as the best pro boxer of the last decade, Mayweather doesn't kid around with his money. In front of his $10 Million mansion, he has countless Bentleys and Rolls-Royces, along with a $2 Million Bugatti Veyron. Also in his garage are Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mercedes, Audis, and a McLaren. What a KO of a collection!

4 Overrated Cars To Avoid At All Costs

 VW BEETLE:

The iconic shape of the Volkswagen Beetle holds a special place in many hearts, but why? It was hit by the ugly stick. It has below-average fuel economy. It takes eternity to hit 60 mph. It only can muster a top speed of 115 mph. It is notoriously overpriced at $29K. The rear seats are only big enough for... idk, not an adult. Several magazines have handed the VW average ratings, usually around 6/10. Worst of all, the Beetle was commissioned by none other than Adolf Hitler. Please, if you crave that "cute" vibe, just go for the Fiat 500 or Kia Soul.

FORD MUSTANG:

I really hate to say it, but the "American as baseball and apple pie" Mustang is really nothing special, particularly in its base form. It scores shamefully low on 99% of comparisons with other sports cars under $30K. For example, one article in Motor Trend Magazine deemed the Mustang worse than a Honda Civic and Hyundai hatchback, among others. Pretty Humiliating, right? The thing that really worries me is how long they've been doing this. Ford has been producing Mustangs for nearly 60 years, and has lost the formula that once made truly great cars. If we are talking about the $73K GT500 variant, then you would be getting a true Mustang. But for now, the only somewhat affordable Mustang is a monumental disappointment.

TOYOTA PRIUS
Ugly, isn't it? Journalist Keegan Gossett from DriveTribe summarized the Prius very concisely: "It was always considered the greenest car on the planet because it was a hybrid and got great gas mileage, supposedly the best. This just isn't true. Back in the early 2000's, its 50 mpg was impressive,  but if you used the right driving methods, you could get better mpg out of a Honda Civic. Nowadays, its 50 mpg isn't even impressive anymore. The new Honda Insight actually beats the Prius in gas mileage, not to mention, it looks a 1000 times better". I personally consider the Prius one of my least favorite cars, not only because of it's unholy design, but because of how nonrelevant it is compared to other hybrids or electrics, such as the Honda Insight, Tesla Model 3, and Honda Accord Hybrid. Back in 2005, the Prius was a decent option. Now, in 2021, it would just be stupid to purchase this (butt-ugly) car.
JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE:
Everyone buys this Jeep, for no good reason. Even the in the pandemic-stricken year of 2020, it sold over $200,000 units, more than any other Jeep. Is it anywhere near as good as it's Jeep siblings? No. Is it nearly as good as the similarly-sized Honda CR-V or Mazda MX-5? No. Is it actually Jeep-capable off-road? No. Does it handle well? No. Is it anywhere near as good as it's $32K price-tag suggests? No. Did it have more than 3000 complaints since it came on the market? Yes. Did owners give this a severity rating of 8.9, or "Very bad"? Yes. Would buying this be a highly questionable choice? Yes.

Awesome Auto Innovators: Elon Musk

 ELON MUSK:

Elon Reeve Musk is the richest man in the world. How? He's a genius. Many do not know this, but he spent his childhood in Africa, under very tough circumstances. His parents split when young Elon was only 10. He regrettably decided to live with his father, who was abusive. Elon decided to "drown his sorrows" by using every spare minute of his time either (1) reading books or (2) concocting some new way to make money. He read many books, and when he was still young, he had read all the books in the nearest library. He begged the library to purchase new books, and sure enough, he got his way.

He frequently started mini-businesses, such as coding and selling videogames, or even selling candy door to door. Even at 12, you could tell he was destined for greatness. He enrolled in a local college in Africa, before moving to where his mother had been born, Canada. He was accepted at Queens University at the age of 17. Elon decided at a young age that his education didn't cut it, and he decided to read 2 books a day to compensate. When he was accepted to Queen, he knew all his reading had payed off. He then moved to California to apply at his 3rd college in 2 years, this time at Stanford. Many question what he was thinking applying at such a great college, given he quit only 2 days later. He decided to pursue a career in business, and co-founded Zip2, a web software company. He sold Zip2 soon after, with a huge price-tag. Zip2 sold for a mind-blowing 137 million. Elon was already a millionaire! He didn't stop there, as his next business would sell for even more. He co-founded X.com, (now PayPal), and sold it to eBay for a whopping $1.5 BILLION. He then had his mid-life crisis. He wanted to save humanity from global warming. To do that, he thought, humans would need to live on Mars. How would they get to Mars? Rockets. Elon Musk started SpaceX in 2002, aiming to achieve his goal of civilization in space by 2025. He then invested $70 million in a measly little start-up named Tesla that wanted cars to run on electricity. In 2012, both SpaceX and Tesla exploded. On May 22, Musk's SpaceX sent a unmanned Falcon 9 rocket capsule to space. The world was captivated. Even NASA payed attention to Elon's endeavors. Late into 2012, Tesla Motor Company announced the world's first mass-market electric car: the Model S. To this day, the Model S remains one of the greatest cars of all time. Motor Trend magazine named it its first unanimous winner of their annual Car Of The Year competition. Once again, the world was captivated. The next 5 years were incredible for Elon Musk. Tesla added 4 more cars to the now multi-billion dollar company, and stocks went from pennies to $850. SpaceX launched 2 more rockets, and now have a rocket that can accommodate 100 people, ideal for Musk's near-future colonization of Mars. In 2018, Tesla had dropped 2 exciting vehicles: The utterly beautiful Roadster, and the utterly ugly Cybertuck. Elon continues to do crazy stuff, such as naming his 7th child "X EA A-12" but he constantly entertains us all, and for that, I will raise a toast: To Mars!

Awesome Auto Innovators: Takchiro Hachigo

TAKAHIRO HACHIGO - HONDA                                                                                                                       That Honda has truly blossomed in the 5 years Hachigo has been in the hot seat speaks wonders for the positive direction he has led the brand.

Notable successes by Honda Motor Company since Takahiro Hachigo arrived in 2015:

1: CR-V wins 2 Motor Trend SUV of the year awards in only 3 years, a record.

2: Honda brand accumulates 11 10Best awards, the most by any brand in that time.

3: Brings back Civic Type-R, is very well received. It scores higher than Aston Martins, Audis, Corvettes, Alfa-Romeos,  and BMWs in several Performance car showdowns.

4: Successfully refreshes Insights, much nicer than  Toyota Prius and Hyundai Ioniq

5: Resurrects NSX, it's a home run.

6: Thanks to Hachigo's savvy business plan, Acura doesn't go under.

7: Creates SUV tor rival Toyotas money-maker, the Highlander. The Honda Passport oversells the Toyota 3 quarters straight.

3 Fantastic, Capable, Outrageous Trucks To Buy in 2021

TOP 3 TRUCKS TO BUY IN 2021:

-------------------------------------------------------

ram 1500:

The Ram 1500 came into a segment ruthlessly dominated by Fords and Chevys, and ended the hold they had on the segment. They did that slowly, over the years, but the Ram 1500 TRX (Pronounced "T-rex") finished the job. The 1500 is no mere pickup truck, it is the most capable truck ever. EVER. EVER. EVER.      Hopefully you get the point; the Ram 1500 plays no games. It was caught on tape getting massive air time - 6 Feet! I guess it was made aware of the social distancing rules. lol. Not funny? I tried. The TRX version cranks out a class-best 702 hp, tied with Ferrari's latest 1/4 million dollar supercar. It fittingly won Motor Trend's Truck Of The Year, besting the old dogs of the business. This RAM is BONKERS.

ford f-150:

Shortly after being humiliated by some Ram, Ford made a move few had anticipated. Except me, yeah, I saw it coming... Ford crammed a MASSIVE 2020 Ford Mustang GT500 engine into Americas favorite truck, and the rest is history: The Raptor (The performance version of the F-150)  has lost its mind. It has way too much power for a truck, making it hard to control at high speeds, but: you know what? It's a home run. An absolute success on every level. It's kinda psycho, but in a good, good, REALLY good way. The specs aren't out, but expect it to blow the already crazy 702 hp made by the Ram 1500 TRX.

JEEP GLADIATOR:

Jeep puts it this way: The Gladiator was created to have fun in. Drive in movies, camping, Off-roading, going stupidly fast, driving through rivers, etc. Yes, it can literally drive in rivers under 4 feet depth. The Gladiator, unlike the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 above, is a completely new car. It's tempting to just label it a Wrangler with a bed in the back, but it's so much more than  just that. It is the only convertible on the market, and is easily the most capable off-road truck you can buy for anything near the price. It costs only $36K, a bargain for such a multi-talented truck. If you want a fun car, you could buy a Mazda Miata. Or you could get a Gladiator. Jeep wants you to be adventurous, for once. They've got a point. After all, what's more fun than stripping off the doors and roof, cranking up some good music, and getting lost. The folks at Toledo, Ohio, the home of Jeep, don't think anything can match the immature fun of a Gladiator.

3 Cars That Will Survive The Switch To SUV's & Trucks

 HONDA CIVIC/ACCORD:

For decades, Americans have bought millions and millions of these, and for good reason. Honda knows how to make a good sedan, and while good sedans come and go, the Civic and Accord have survived 2 depressions, 4 wars, 12 different CEO's, and a near-bankruptcy. The Civic and Accord have won over 40 10Best awards in the last 30 years. If someone asked me what sedan they should buy if they have $25K, These 2 would surely be in the conservation.

MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS: (PICTURED IN CONVERTIBLE FORM)

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has long been the go-to for those wanting to treat themselves to a classy, luxurious, quick sedan that they can enjoy instead of the Toyota RAV4 they've had to endure for 13 years.
Even at a relatively reasonable (for its class) $50K, it portrays an elegance few Audis and BMWs can rival. In its most desirable form, the convertible, the Merc is surely a looker. Apart from being an attractive car, Motor Trend named it 2020s best car, besting a breath-taking Porsche electric car, a lightning-quick BMW 8-Series, and a surprisingly impressive Nissan.
This Benz is a very good car in every aspect, and can enjoy a sweet victory over the faltering competition from Bavaria. As they say in Germany: "Auf Nimmerweidrsehen, BMW" or: "Good riddance, BMW"

ALFA ROMEO GIULA:
All three cars listed so far have 4 things in common:
1: They have won Motor Trend's Car Of The Year
2:They have won C&D's 10Best Award
3:They are highly attractive cars. Fact, not fiction.
4: They are made by 70+ year old brands overseas.
The Alfa Romeo Giula is a successful "Hail Mary" by Alfa Romeo, an admittedly dying franchise. The Giula was so well-received, Alfa decided to resurrect its brand, adding 2 SUV's based on the Italian passion and flair of everybody's favorite new sports sedan, the Giula. Unfortunately, their past caught up to them, as Alfa Romeo left a sour taste in Americas mouth in 2005 when their cars started having major reliability issues. Alfa quit the US market, only to come back 12 years later with a more credible product. Thanks to the genius of the Giula engineers, all is forgiven, and Alfa has salvaged it's reputation.

COMPARO: Honda CR-V vs. Toyota Rav-4 -- Battle of the Compact SUV's

 CR-V VS RAV-4:

The Toyota-Honda rivalry is nothing new. It's been going on for decades, and every time Honda releases a new Accord, Toyota pulls out a new Corolla. When Toyota brought back their classic sports car, the Supra, Honda couldn't help but heavily update their own sports car, the highly-acclaimed Civic Type-R. So yeah, they have each others number. I and others in the auto journalism field have been vocal about a having a preference of Honda over Toyota, but Toyota is set on shaking up things, and have made some good moves as of late. Let's get into this!
HONDA CR-V:                                                                      The CR-V has long been the compact SUV to buy. It boasts clever packaging, tidy looks, driving enjoyability, ample cargo space, a handsome interior, competitive acceleration, and  a low maintenance cost. These reasons, among others, led Motor Trend magazine to name it its best SUV of 2017. What makes this achievement even more impressive is the competition. It edged out a sublime Alfa Romeo, a excellent Land Rover, a ultra-luxurious Volvo a well-rounded Subaru, and a gritty Chevrolet 8-seater to the prize. A Motor Trend staffer praised the CR-V, saying it is a: "Supreme example of calm, confident composure that delivers in all categories. Editor Alisa Priddle chimed in: "Others might excel in certain fields, but others don't put the whole package together the way the Honda CR-V does" Christan Seabaugh also had a high opinion: "If you're buying a family crossover, I'm not sure why you would consider anything other than the Honda CR-V, it checks all the boxes" Now for my opinion. The Honda CR-V is fantastic. It's well rounded to the point it doesn't matter what you need in an SUV, the Honda has it. I think very highly of the CR-V, but it has some company, the overhauled Toyota RAV-4.

TOYOTA RAV-4:

After reading the above paragraph, you might think: "No chance Toyota can match that." Turns out, the RAV-4 is nothing short of down-right impressive. Toyota took an ugly, boring vehicle, and tossed it in the trash. Nothing remains. Toyota knew they had to step up their game, and did so magnificently. The RAV-4 took first blood, with its engine producing a notable 13 horsepower over the Honda. The Rav-4 also has better fuel efficiency, with a marvelous 28-35 mpg compared to the CR-V's 26-34. MSRPs are close, with each starting at around $25K. Both vehicles offer a hybrid variant, with each costing around $28K. Edmunds Car-buying service points out that the Toyota is a "Compelling hybrid that offers exceptional economy and practicality" However, the RAV-4 falls short in several categories that the Honda excels in. It's a major improvement, but it's not enough.

VERDICT:

You gotta give Toyota credit for making the RAV-4 competitive again, but Honda wins this matchup. Again. Yeah, Honda has kinda become like the LA Lakers of the car industry. Win everything, no sweat.     Although the Toyota is a interesting choice that will leave no one regretting it, the CR-V is just head and shoulders above it. I strongly recommend the Honda, it will leave no buyers wanting.

3 Exciting Cars To Buy In 2021

 HONDA CIVIC 11TH GEN:

The Honda Civic has become an American favorite, each generation well equipped with style, functionality, efficiency, and a well mannered drive. The new-for-2021 Civic is no exception. Wearing a fierce stance, the Civic takes absolutely no prisoners with it's aggressive driving behavior. Those fortunate enough to get an early ride in the Honda laud its phenomenal performance on the track, while being a totally normal car outside of it. Honda has long been the easy brand to buy from, and though up-and-comers such as Kia, Hyundai, and Mazda threaten to take the throne, with this Civic, Honda will surely hold the throne for a few more years. Crucial victory, this.

FORD BRONCO:

Message to Jeep: You've got company. The Ford Bronco was an accident. The factory used for the Ranger turned out to have plenty of space for another vehicle to be assembled in the building, and needed to be built on the platform of the Ranger, a mid-size pickup-truck. Thus, the sweet retro-designed Bronco came about. And boy, am I excited for this one. From the start, it was obvious that is was intended to compete with the iconic Jeep Wrangler. It is equipped with an Inline-4 cylinder engine that produces 270 hp.  Pricing is nearly identical to the Wrangler, starting at $29,000, and raising to $59,000 for the more capable Badlands edition. If you think your garage could use an upgrade, don't consider this, just go out and buy it.

TOYOTA SUPRA GR 2.0:

The reborn Toyota Supra has won over many in car media for it's engaging driving behavior and well-roundedness. It has won matchups versus old dogs in the game such as the Ford Mustang, BMW M2, Porsche 718, and the Chevrolet Camaro. It has earned a more than respectable 8.2/10 rating from Motor Trend  Magazine, and Top Gear even deemed it thoroughly capable all-round coupe. It features a scrawny V-6 engine that is responsible for much of its charm. The Supra just does it all right. The Supra was co-engineered by BMW, and you can tell by the price-tag. It costs $52K, which puts off many customers. It shouldn't. This Toyota is golden. Go for it.

6 Chic SUV's to Buy In 2021

 FORD BRONCO:

To the delight of many off-road enthusiasts, Ford brought back the legendary Bronco nameplate, originally used until 1977 for a boxy family car. The Bronco pictured is a modern take on a classic. McKinley Thompson, the designer of the 2021 Bronco, took cues from the past, while also looking to the future of the Ford brand. You've got to say, the Bronco looks absolutely stunning, especially in the 2-door "Sasquatch Package".
If you're interested, you better hurry; they're sellin' fast!

Price: $35-42K

PORSCHE MACAN GTS:

The updated for 2021 Porsche Macan is an incredible SUV, in that it behaves identically like a sports car. It makes an outstanding 500 horsepower, on par with similarly-priced sports cars such as the Toyota Supra and Chevrolet Corvette. The Macan has a very lavish design, which is inspired by it's legendary brother, the Porsche 911. Both have earned countless awards for their enjoyability behind the wheel. One journalist pronounced: "The Macan is one of the best-driving SUV"s ever built"

Price: $49-51K

Vehicle configuration: 4 door, 5 seat SUV

Jeep Renegade 4xe:

The Jeep Renegade, the baby of the the Jeep lineup, is not particularly special. It provides cheap wheels ($19K) with decent fuel economy, maintenance cost, and power. However, it is easily the most attractive CUV Jeep ever made. If you search the word "Chic" in the dictionary, it will refer you to the Renegade on page 241. Just kidding. It is a good, good, good looking little CUV. Motor Trend wrote that of the Renegade: "Hard to beat it's off-road ability" If you're in the market for a trendy little mountain-climber, you might have found a good option!

Price: $19-21K

Vehicle Configuration: 4 door, 4 seat CUV.

Land Rover Defender

Similar to the Ford Bronco pictured at the top of this article, the Land Rover brought back an icon and modernized it with huge success. The Defender is essentially a summary of the Land Rover brand in its entirety. It's gorgeous inside and out, with noticeable nods to the previous generation of the Defender. It's retro design, paired with customary Land Rover refinement has won many consumers over, and it's easy to see why. Motor Trend, a trusted auto magazine, named the Defender its SUV Of The Year.  Road&Track magazine cited the Defender as: "The Real Deal". Editor Miguel Cortina said: "Few vehicles make the whole staff smile like the 2020 Land Rover Defender". As Land Rover CEO Ralf Speth famously said: "If you think good design is expensive, you should look at the cost of bad design". Right on, mate.

Jaguar I-Pace SE

Many are not aware of this fact, but Jaguar actually owns Land Rover. So when Jaguar decided to switch things up a bit and make the brands first SUV, they already had decades of experience designing elite-level Land Rovers. So then, it really isn't much of a surprise that the I-pace is so darned good. It is one of the most beautiful cars from a brand that does nothing but design beautiful cars. It has a racy silhouette that sets the tone for the rest of the car. It has a head-on steering balance that portrays itself as a car, rather than a SUV. Edmunds website gave it a 8.2/10 rating, which is noticeably higher than competitors such as the Tesla Model X, which scored a 6/10, and the Hyundai Kona which racked up a 6/10 rating. The Jag has few competitors, but it crushes them all. I like many cars I write about, but I really love this Jag...

 MINI COOPER JCW EDITION:

The Mini Cooper GPW is a speedy heritage to the racing history of Minis in motorsports, most notably in R56 races. This particular Mini clearly doesn't mess around, as the rear wing, wheel covers, and red trim suggest. This little punk generates a mind-blowing 308 hp, and sprints to 60 mph in a flash, needing only 4.4 seconds.  Though it sports a big price-tag, at $45K, the Cooper is a bargain, and we both know it.
