Ford Bronco Raptor Leaked, Looks Menacing

Many people have called the Ford Bronco the most highly anticipated car of 2021, but that honor would actually go to the more hard-core variant, the Raptor. Boasting the new "Eruption Green" paint, Ford , in essence, righted their wrong of including no type of green color in the Bronco, a move that angered many. What will anger nobody is that the legendary Raptor moniker is going on the Bronco.  It is certainly a lucrative move, and a move that makes sense for the American brand. With Electric cars on the way, and in many ways already upon us, Ford would be remiss not to get in a couple of genuinely interesting Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) cars, trucks, and SUVs in the next several years. Oddly, the Raptor variant will only be available in 4-door guise, if renderings and spy shots are to be believed. Although not much is known right now about the Ford Bronco Raptor, it is shaping up to be a very cool vehicle, to put it mildly. For more info on the Raptor, as well as all the car news, follow MTT and stay tuned.

5 Reasons You Should Buy A Nissan Kicks!

1: Very impressive fuel economy (33 mpg)

2: Styling is ultimately subjective, but the Kicks is a very good looking car, especially at this price.

3: Unbelievable value, starting at $19K. The whole car oozes the quality of a more expensive car.

4: Features extraordinary tech, starting with the thoroughly impressive infotainment system.

5: Compared to the Honda HR-V and Toyota Yaris, the Kicks is honestly a whole different class. Whether it be the exterior/interior design, the tech, the bang-for-the-buck, or the efficiency, the Nissan Kicks is likely the best compact car in years.

Going Out With A Bang: Acura Reveals NSX Type-S, Kills Off Model.

Underappreciated, overlooked, and ultimately, really, really good, the Acura NSX is on its way out. After debuting at the Detroit Auto Show in 2015, the NSX has received very little attention, mostly due to Ford releasing a new GT at the same time. Despite being one of the most well-done entry-level supercars over the last half-decade, the Acura NSX has sold very slowly, and is now being axed from the lineup, but not before a flashy "Sayonara" party. A Type-S variant is on the way, using a moniker that was previously attached to the 1990 NSX. Although it likely won't be radically different from the regular NSX, it will almost certainly have more powerful electric motors, along with some aesthetic distinctions, such as red trim, a higher spoiler, and sportier bucket seats. Only 350 will be made, 30 of which will be for the home market of Japan. Stay tuned to MTT for more news about the NSX Type-S, and other news.

2022 Lucid Air Receives Extraordinary EPA Range Estimates

The incredibly hyped-up Lucid Air sedan is finally nearing its arrival. The electric start-up brand has recently revealed the official EPA range figures for the sleek Lucid Air, and they're astonishing. The Dream Edition of the Air will be able to go 520 miles on a single charge. That will blow the Air's main competition, the Tesla Model S LR, out of the water, with the Tesla Model S going 405. Although the range is certainly impressive, performance just might be even more mind-blowing. The performance variant churns out 1111  horsepower, while only slightly dropping its range (471). All things considered, the Lucid Air is one of the most genuinely exciting cars that are set to crash the scene in the next few years. And, starting at just under $70K, it seems like a relative bargain compared to the likes of the Tesla Model S, Jaguar E-Pace, BMW i8, and others. There have been many cars that have promised (and failed) to dethrone Tesla, but the Lucid Air is easily the most legitimate.

2022 Subaru WRX First Look: Rally Legend Returns, Relatively Unchanged

The Subaru WRX has finally made its return, and the overriding theme seems to be "bigger is better". The actual car is in fact bigger, coming in 1.2 inches wider, and 2.9 inches longer than the previous iteration. The wheelbase also increases 0.8 inches. The Subie die-hards will be pleased to know that power also receives a healthy boost. Coming from a 2.4 Liter Turbo horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine, the WRX makes 271 hp, an increase of 3 hp from the outgoing model, with 258 lb-ft. A six-speed transmission is standard, a combination that worked well in the BRZ sports car. However, one of the most exciting upgrades is in the cabin, where the 7.0 inch infotainment system tablet is replaced with a huge 11.6 inch screen. Although a more powerful STi is on the way, the 2022 WRX is by no means an unimpressive effort from an admittedly struggling automaker. While how it compares to the likes of the Honda Civic Si, Hyundai Elantra N, and Toyota Camry TRD remains to seen, I would advise you don't pass the WRX over.

Mercedes-Benz EQG First Look: The G-Wagen Goes Electric!

In a follow through to something Mercedes have been teasing for a while, the legendary G-Wagen has gone electric, at least for a concept. Unveiled at the Munich Auto Show, the "EQG" was described as a "near-production study". The EQG features more or less the same design as the gas-powered version, with a lit up grille, new tires and hubcaps, and a rear box for cargo in place of the traditional spare tire. Weird, I know. Mercedes-Benz envisions the box being used to store the charging chord. Also new is a two-tone paint scheme, with black paint matching the windows, and new 22 inch wheels. Stay tuned (and be sure to follow) to MTT for more news on the EQG, and other car news.

Car Rumours: Ford Lightning SVT, McLaren F1 Spyder, EV S2000

It has been a busy couple of weeks for the car industry, with names such as the Lamborghini Countach, Acura Integra, Jeep Wagoneer, and Acura Integra all making their anticipated returns to the scene. Equally exciting are some recent rumors that have been floating around, not least the possibility of the Ford Lightning coming back in SVT form, a legendary formula, to say the least. Without further ado, let's dive right in:

Renderings courtesy of Motor1.

Ford Lightning SVT:

In the late 90's, the Ford Lightning SVT was nothing short of a street truck legend. Impossibly low to the ground, and boasting otherworldly power, the icon of the SVT is undeniable. So, for Ford to bring it back seems like a good idea, and there seems to be a good chance of this happening, considering Ford already revived the "regular" Lightning. I'll give this one a solid 75% chance.

McLaren F1 Spyder:
If you aren't familiar with the McLaren F1, then you have a problem, but I'll introduce it real quick: greatest car of all time, most innovative sports car of all time, probably the most beautiful sports car of all time, etc.. As such, some people think that a convertible is on the way, in a remarkable comeback. I don't see it happening, all though it would be pretty darn awesome if it did. All though the rendering on the left portrays a ridiculously gorgeous car, I don't think McLaren has the balls to play around with one of the most sacred names in the industry. I'll give this one a 5%.

Electric Honda S200
This one excites me the most. Why? The S2000 is a legitimate legend, and deserves to be on the market once again, after a decade hiatus. Second, Honda don't have a competitor to the Toyota Supra, Nissan Z, or Jaguar F-Type, making a new S2000 a great idea, business wise. I'm giving this 50% odds of happening, and 100% odds I'll lose my mind if it does.

Other notable rumors:

KIA EV7: 70%

LAND ROVER 130: 60%

TOYOTA COROLLA COUPE: 90%

HYUNDAI SONATA CUV: 50%

FORD MAVERICK LIGHTNING: 5%
