In a follow through to something Mercedes have been teasing for a while, the legendary G-Wagen has gone electric, at least for a concept. Unveiled at the Munich Auto Show, the "EQG" was described as a "near-production study". The EQG features more or less the same design as the gas-powered version, with a lit up grille, new tires and hubcaps, and a rear box for cargo in place of the traditional spare tire. Weird, I know. Mercedes-Benz envisions the box being used to store the charging chord. Also new is a two-tone paint scheme, with black paint matching the windows, and new 22 inch wheels. Stay tuned (and be sure to follow) to MTT for more news on the EQG, and other car news.
