The Kia Telluride is a new SUV by Kia/Hyundai that was unveiled in the summer of 2016 and was on sale by late 2018. It is powered by a 3.8L V6 engine that churns out a class-best 298 horsepower. It accelerates to 60 mph in another class-best 7.1 seconds. A base model Telluride costs $31,000, a clear bargain. Competitors such as the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Subaru Ascent, and Ford Explorer all cost around $33,000. This Kia comfortably seats 7-8 people, depending on the trim. Gas mileage is another strength, earning 24/28 miles per gallon. The average cost of a trip to the dealer is $96, narrowly besting the Honda Pilot, which needs $102.
