Car Rumours: Ford Lightning SVT, McLaren F1 Spyder, EV S2000

It has been a busy couple of weeks for the car industry, with names such as the Lamborghini Countach, Acura Integra, Jeep Wagoneer, and Acura Integra all making their anticipated returns to the scene. Equally exciting are some recent rumors that have been floating around, not least the possibility of the Ford Lightning coming back in SVT form, a legendary formula, to say the least. Without further ado, let's dive right in:

Ford Lightning SVT:

In the late 90's, the Ford Lightning SVT was nothing short of a street truck legend. Impossibly low to the ground, and boasting otherworldly power, the icon of the SVT is undeniable. So, for Ford to bring it back seems like a good idea, and there seems to be a good chance of this happening, considering Ford already revived the "regular" Lightning. I'll give this one a solid 75% chance.

McLaren F1 Spyder:
If you aren't familiar with the McLaren F1, then you have a problem, but I'll introduce it real quick: greatest car of all time, most innovative sports car of all time, probably the most beautiful sports car of all time, etc.. As such, some people think that a convertible is on the way, in a remarkable comeback. I don't see it happening, all though it would be pretty darn awesome if it did. All though the rendering on the left portrays a ridiculously gorgeous car, I don't think McLaren has the balls to play around with one of the most sacred names in the industry. I'll give this one a 5%.

Electric Honda S200
This one excites me the most. Why? The S2000 is a legitimate legend, and deserves to be on the market once again, after a decade hiatus. Second, Honda don't have a competitor to the Toyota Supra, Nissan Z, or Jaguar F-Type, making a new S2000 a great idea, business wise. I'm giving this 50% odds of happening, and 100% odds I'll lose my mind if it does.

Other notable rumors:

KIA EV7: 70%

LAND ROVER 130: 60%

TOYOTA COROLLA COUPE: 90%

HYUNDAI SONATA CUV: 50%

FORD MAVERICK LIGHTNING: 5%
