7 Things To Know About Amazon's Partnership With Rivian

1: Amazon contacted Rivian with the purpose of building hundreds of thousands of electric vans to transport cargo.

2: Amazon wants to make 100,000 units by 2030, while making 10,000 by 2022.

3: There will be 3 different sizes of vans, each able to transport either 500, 700, or 900 lbs.

4:  Amazon and Rivian aimed for a friendly, cartoonish look. They hope the van will feature in a future Pixar CARS movie.

7: A Drone base is attached to the roof of the van, tasked with delivering the products from the van to the doorstep. A charging station is also on the roof.

8: The Rivian Prime van will have a estimated 150 miles on a single charge.

9: The vans will start hitting your neighborhood in early 2022

10: Amazon invested 2 billion in Rivian
