It's not just the media trying to compare the 2, as Genesis has publicly gone on the record to say that the G70 is a "BMW 5-Series fighter" Motor Trend wrote that the G70 "Is a stunning, value-packed sport sedan that should shake up any shopper's consideration list. Car&Driver were also big fans, handing the G70 an impressive 9/10 rating, compared to the BMW's 8/10. Kelley Blue Book, widely regarded as one of the most reliable sources on cars, were hooked on the Genesis' superior luxury and energy, even handing it an astounding 4.8/5 rating, or 9.6/10.

In the Stinger, Kia has a 365 hp monster that can tear up a racetrack, while also providing an Audi A7-like level of luxury. Whereas the Audi costs around $70K, you can take a home a  well-equipped Stinger for only $33-51K. I highly advise checking it out.

I know you most likely aren't not considering buying a Ferrari. But, for the sake of argument, let's say you were. The Ferrari 488 costs roughly $250K, and is a great car. It is a beautiful car, and is a terrific driving companion. However, what if I told you that for only one-quarter the price, you could get a supercar that is as good, if not better, than the Italian Stallion. (Pardon the tragically overused cliche) The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is what I'm talking about, and it is possibly an even more gorgeous car, and possibly an even better car to drive. Motor Trend magazine were big admirers, as they gave the 'Vette their Car Of The Year award, and their BDC award (Best Driver's Car). They praised Chevy, calling the C8 a "Mid-engine masterpiece". They also were impressed the unbelievable value of the Corvette, saying "Why would you but a BMW M4 for the same money?" and questioning the relevance of the C8's main competition, saying "Besides a badge, what does a Ferrari give you? I'm sure you're beginning to recognize the game-changing nature of the C8. If the Ferrari is for the 0.0001%, then Chevy has made an equally great car for a much bigger chunk of the population. They've hit a homerun with this one, and we both know it.

Cherokee Nation To Jeep: No More Cherokees!

 

It's probably not news to you that Jeep sells a ton of Cherokees throughout the course of a year. As a matter of fact, Jeep offers 3 distinct SUVs that go by the name of "Cherokee". They sell the Cherokee, a sporty 5-seater, the Grand Cherokee, a Honda Pilot-type SUV, and the Grand Cherokee L, a large SUV to compete with the likes of the Lincoln Navigator and Chevrolet Tahoe. The Grand Cherokee alone sold more than one-quarter of a million units in 2019. In 2018, The Cherokee sold roughly the same, with 239K units. Though the Grand Cherokee L is not for sale just yet, it is expected to sell quite well. 

So, we get to the issue: if Jeep are forced to change the names of their top-selling SUVs, what are they going to do? Chuck Hoskin Jr, chief of the Cherokee Nation has caused quite a stir when saying "It does not honor us by having our name plastered on the side of a car". He also declared "I think we're in a day and age in this country where it's time for both corporations and team sports to retire the use of Native American names, images, and mascots from their products". However, Jeep might have a way out. The dark red SUV pictured, the Grand Cherokee L, was originally supposed to be called the "Grand Wagoneer" To be honest, that is actually a suitable name to turn to if Jeep get in even deeper trouble with the Cherokee Nation. Instead of the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee L, it could be Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer L.

Lamborghini Huracan EVO Review: Lively, Luscious, Luxurious.

  The Lamborghini Huracan is the Italian brand’s cheapest offering, aimed at providing an entry into the supercar market for a relatively reasonable $199K. The 1/5 million dollar price tag undeniably justifies itself by the way the Lambo carves up a track, as the raging bull is a different animal on tracks such as the Nurburgring. Fittingly, Motor Trend Magazine named the Huracan the best driver car of both 2017 and 2020. They lauded the junior supercar for being "Easy to driver fast" and for it's "Excellent performance". However, what everyone is especially impressed with is the superior confidence you get while throwing the car round a track. Pro Racecar driver Randy Pobst raved about how terrific the Lambo is with dealing with tough turns: "You can throw it into a corner like an idiot, and it would just do this beautiful little drift. It works as one - the steering, braking, acceleration. It is emotionally satisfying, and it's really attractive'. He also praised it's "Tremendous cornering grip, quick turn-in, real quick steering response, but absolutely planted in the back". Car and Driver magazine also held the Huracan in high regard, as they handed it an astonishing 9.5/10 rating, which is one of the best ratings they have ever handed out. Man, Lamborghini have still got that secret sauce.

What Is Up With Chevy's New Electric SUV, The Bolt EUV?

Put a few things aside, such as the polarizing design and an anything-but-premium interior, and the Chevrolet Bolt, debuted in 2017, was a success by the Detroit-based automaker. 4 years later, Chevrolet are making the original Bolt into an SUV, aiming to tweak a generally impressive little hatch into a bigger frame. Despite the two products appearing very similar, the Bolt and Bolt EUV share not a single body panel. The EUV is 6.3 inches longer, and boast an additional 3 inches of legroom. The two electric vehicles run on the same 65 kHw lithium-ion battery pack, resulting in nearly identical horsepower, each around 200 hp. I previously mentioned that the Bolt hatch struggled with below-par interior quality, with far too much plastic. The EUV makes amends for its sibling's faults with more luxurious seats and a more usable dashboard setup. The Bolt costs around $31K, but after government rebates, it ended up as $25K. The Bolt EUV costs exactly $2K more than it's forerunner, but the rebate number has not been revealed. Chevrolet will also be offering a "Launch Edition" Bolt for a more hefty $43K.

What Happened To Ferrari? The Story Of Their Sudden Collapse

  For as long as anyone can remember, Ferrari made the best sports cars on the market. They made pure driving machines that were incredibly rapid for their time. However, recently, Ferrari has caved in to the cash, abandoning the sports cars we all know and love, now with their focus on SUVs, luxury sedans, and even hatchbacks. The car pictured on the left is the legendary F40. It was the peak of performance and style in the 80's, a true legend that is popular to this day. However, the modern Ferrari lineup carries little to no resemblance to the prior successes of the brand, they merely scoff at their ancestors. Motor Trend criticized the brand new Ferrari F8, saying "This car's got issues" while calling out Ferrari for relaxing their previous standards, as shown in the F8's brakes, which have been likened to "Wooden brakes" by the Motor Trend columnists. When reviewing the Ferrari FF, many saw it as a sign of the apocalypse. While the world hasn't ended yet, Ferrari making a wagon is definitely not something any of us could have predicted. Motor Trend put it bluntly, saying recent Ferraris "Utterly fail to conjure the Italian bravura [That past Ferraris are known for]" The last century of sports cars have been all Ferrari, but the next century belongs to Porsche, McLaren, Jaguar, Aston Martin, etc... 1: Amazon contacted Rivian with the purpose of building hundreds of thousands of electric vans to transport cargo. 

2: Amazon wants to make 100,000 units by 2030, while making 10,000 by 2022.

3: There will be 3 different sizes of vans, each able to transport either 500, 700, or 900 lbs. 

4:  Amazon and Rivian aimed for a friendly, cartoonish look. They hope the van will feature in a future Pixar CARS movie.

What Is The Artura, McLaren's New Hybrid Supercar?

The McLaren Artura is a brand new sports car by McLaren that fits in their "LT" or "Longtail" series. It has a V6, paired with electric motors that churn out a massive 671 hp. Though the styling is very similar to that of the 560S, 600Lt, 650S, and others, underneath the skin is a totally new creature. By sacrificing the V8, they were able to create an engine that weighs only 353 pounds, over 100 pounds lighter than the customary engine found in most McLarens. The Artura sprints to a 205 mph top speed, while accelerating to 60 mph to under 3 seconds, all of which comes in a car that McLaren claims to be its most fuel efficient car ever. One thing McLaren swears by is that the Artura has a higher build quality than its predecessors, which were criticized for their iffy materials. Another thing they focused on is making it an easier supercar to live with. All things considered, McLaren are taking a big step in the right direction with the Artura.
